Interesting article

The link below review the average remodeling cost vs return on your home projects. The closest area to Cape Coral I could come to is Tampa, which is 2 hours north of us, but still probably pretty accurate.

It’s A Florida Thing!

I saw this somewhere quite a long time ago and I thought I would share it with everyone. If you are a Floridian, this will give you a chuckle.

It’s a Florida thing…Socks are for Bowling. You never use an umbrella because the rain will be over in 5 minutes. A good parking space has nothing to do with distance from the store, and everything to do with shade. You can tell the difference between fire ant bites and misquito bites. Anything under 70 degrees is chilly! You’ve driven through Yeehaw Junction. You know that no other store can compare to Publix. You know that anything under a Category 3 just isn’t worth waking up for. You dread Love Bug Season. Your on a first name basis with the Hurricane list. They aren’t Hurricane Charlie or Hurricane Frances. You know them as Andrew, Charley, Frances, Ivan, Jeanne, Wilma, Irene, Cheryl, Rita, Mary, Allison. You know what a snowbird is… and when they leave. You think a six foot alligator is actually pretty average. Down South means, Key West. Flip-Flops are everyday wear. Shoes are for business meetings and Church, BUT…you have worn Flip Flops to Church before. You have a drawer full of bathing suits but only 1 sweatshirt. You get annoyed with the tourist that feed the seagulls.  A mountian is any hill 100 ft above sea level. You know the four seasons are Hurricane season, Lovebug season, Tourist season, and Summer. You’ve hosted a Hurricane Party! You can pronounce Okeechobee, Kissimmee, Withlacoochee, Thonotosassa and Micanopy. You understand why its better to have a friend with a boat than have a boat yourself. Afterall boat stands for bust out another thousand. You were 25 when you first met someone who couldn’t swim. You’ve worn shorts and used the air conditioner on Christmas and New Years. You recognize Miami-Dade as Northern Cuba.

AWESOME NEWS from the Cape Coral, FL Chamber of Commerce

Below are a few paragraphs from the president of the Chamber that were sent out to local business this morning!! @013 is going to be an AMAZING YEAR!!!

On Monday, December 10, 2012, we received a call from a writer at Forbes
Magazine. She had stated that she was working on an article where our
region, Cape Coral/Ft. Myers is predicted to be the number one job growth
region in the United States, in the first quarter of 2013.

As we approach the end of the year and begin a new one, we would suggest
that all indicators are on track for continued improvement, barring any
significant external variables. We should probably all be positioning
ourselves to evaluate how we prepare our businesses to capture this
transfer of wealth as it leads to increased commerce.

,
Here is to wishing you all a Happy New Year!

Mike “Q” Quaintance, President

Great note to end 2012 on I’d say!!

Cape Coral is One of the Safest Cities in Florida and the US!

I was just reading an article printed this week in the winter edition of the quarterly news brief that is put out from city hall. I love reading the continued good news that is spreading all around the state and the country about Cape Coral. We are a city on the move, growing, revitalizing and showing a healthy increase on our property values.

According to the FBI National Crime Report released in October of 2011, Cape Coral was recognized as one of the safest cities in the state as well as the nation. On a national basis there are 9315 cities that report crime stats to the FBI. Of these cities, 155 have a population exceeding 150,000. Cape Coral ranks 6th safest in violent crimes and 32nd for property crimes, placing Cape Coral at an overall index rate of 27th in the United States!

Yes folks Cape Coral can be your hometown USA city!! I know my family and I just love it here!
